Have you ever thought about doing something (or you actually did something) and pondered if it is ok to do? For example, you might have added deductions to your tax return that weren’t really work-related. Or you got too much change back at the supermarket. But it was ok, because the government is corrupt and bloated anyway. It was ok to keep the change because the supermarket owner is a damned capitalist.
Or maybe you think your dog is justified in pooping in your neighbors garden because the latter isn’t a good catholic (as is probably the former). Or you didn’t feel sympathy for the unlucky celebrity you read about in the newspapers because she is an infidel and will burn in hell anyway.
I think the last two excuses don’t work any more these days. Thanks to our generation’s sharp-tongued non-theistic thinkers, religion is no longer an excuse for anything. Now we can get to work on the other excuses.
