Dont Bullshit. Just Think.

Bright Red Lines

Like The Transporter, I instituted a few general rules for myself.
“Never lie” or “Don’t do what others expect of me only for that reason” for example. Some people would say I’m limiting myself. That I’m creating a black & white world.

Precisely the opposite is true! I consciously instituted those rules, my not todo list to prevent future me from needing to think to much. The rules are not there to limit me, but to free me. Deciding not to do something once is often helpful. Deciding never to do something simplifies my life.

Whenever I face the question “Should I lie about this?” (happens at least three times a day), I already know that lying is not an option. The decision is made without spending any willpower. Bright red lines that guide mundane decisions allow me to focus my mind on the decisions that matter.
